Macfarlane Dental Partnership

Appointments

Appointments

We always try to see patients at the appointed time. If you are kept waiting, there is normally a good reason. Please be patient.

If you must cancel an appointment, we require 24 hours notice wherever possible to enable us to offer that appointment to someone else. There will be a charge for appointments broken without notice.

Children

Our existing child patients are treated on the NHS until the age of 19 if in full time education. New patients are accepted by private arrangements.

Emergency Services

If you have a serious problem, please telephone as soon as possible and you will be seen within 24 hours.

If you are in pain outside surgery hours, telephone our normal surgery number and you will hear a message giving you the contact number of the dentist on call at that time. If you need to see a dentist and someone at the partnership is not available, we have arranged for emergency cover to be provided by a colleague in the area.

Our dental nurses

All our qualified nurses are trained to the highest standards and registered with the General Dental Council. They regularly attend training sessions to learn the latest techniques and developments in dentistry.

Complaints

Although we see thousands of patients every year, we have very few problems. However, if we fail you, we want to know so that we can improve our service. If you need to make use of our in-house complaints procedure please speak to our receptionist for details.
